Our early music ensemble was founded in 2007.
Since then, we have been very active on the medieval music scene in Alsace and at the Haut Koenigsbourg’s castle. However, you can also find us outside the borders of the Rhine cultural region where we are based.
We have a passion for both sacred and secular music from the Middle Ages. We make them our own and play them on our instruments that are copies from old ones. All our instruments are made by the best European luthiers.
Hauvoy is an early music ensemble, whose members can vary in number. Our team can include up to eight multi-instrumentalist musicians. Most of the time, during our performances, we wear outfits reproduced from Western European iconography and archaeology of the second half of the 15th century.
Hauvoy offers concerts, animation of historical events, entertainment of medieval banquets, and living history events. We also have a collection of instruments and we propose school interventions.
